Dr Naven Chetty

Naven-Chetty

Dr Chetty's research group has vast interests in the applied Physics domain with a sub-focus area in educational Physics. They collaborate with the Defense, Peace, Safety and Security division of the CSIR (DPSS), the National Laser Centre (NLC) and Armscor.

Many of the current research projects are funded by these organisations and these collaborations allow students in the group access to state of the art facilities, scholarships, internships and ultimately employment opportunities within the research and development sector. The defense sector is in great need of graduates therefore the research group focuses on defense related applications and tends to attract lucrative funding opportunities.
